Brittany + Jared's Country Wedding

June 15, 2016

I, like all photographers, artists, creative minds, women, people in general, have struggled with confidence in the past. Before this wedding my confidence was low - I was worried that I wasn't the photographer that I thought I was or hoped to be - that I wouldn't be able to get the photos that this couple entrusted me to take for them. I was nervous but I tried my best to put on my confident face as I stepped onto this family farm and took in the scenery around me. And suddenly, that nervousness melted away. And as the day went on, that confidence I had been searching for was returned to me. I was the photographer I needed to be, and I strongly attribute this to not only the beautiful land that this wedding was set, but to the incredibly stunning couple I had the opportunity to photograph.

Not only were they fun and welcoming and easy to be around, but the love that they had for each other made my job so easy. They stood there against the wooden fence, farmlands sweeping out behind them, whispering sweet nothings to one another and I tried my best to interfere with poses as little as possible. They kissed as if I wasn't there, she lovingly touched his face and his hand would naturally fall to her swollen pregnant belly. It was beautiful and I am so thankful that this is my job and that I am given the responsibility and more importantly the opportunity to capture these intimate moments.
