So I realized that this blog is really lacking in the descriptive sector, which as a writer is pretty embarrassing. Before I fell in love with photography, writing was my artistic outlet, truly my identity. I always thought I would be an author when I grew up, and though that still may be in the plans for me, photography has really taken my passion these past few years. Possibly because I am able to capture moments not just through words but through visual memories. But why can't I combine them? I truly should, so I am going to make a conscious effort to improve this blog; really write down how I felt about the shoot and my amazing clients.
Typically when I get a chance to work on my website it is middle of the day when the kids are distracted with a movie on Netflix or their tablets. I am not going to pretend that I don't give my kids screen time - I most certainly do and I honestly don't see too much wrong with it as long as it doesn't interfere with their development. The moment my kids start ignoring me because they are absorbed in their game or video they are playing or watching, that is when we take a breather. So far the kids have great manners and show awesome intelligence and verbal skills, so I am not too worried, but I am all too aware that it can get out of a hand and if that ever happens I will nip it in the bud.
Sorry for that tangent...
Anyway, to more conscious blogging in the future.
