Paige and Ryan are the first people I have ever met who actually live, and in Paige's case, have grown up in the town. Canmore holds a very special part of my heart so when they asked me to be their photographer the inner Shelby jumped with joy. (Is anyone else thinking of the little cartoon character in Lizzie Mcguire...?)
I had Ashley from Ashley Lazette second shooting with me for the first half of the day and I couldn't have asked for better company and better pictures to be delivered to me. It's such a good feeling when you not only feel supported by your second, but you also have complete trust in their skill and ideas.
Paige was so calm the morning of her wedding, even if she wanted to micro manage the decorations from her hotel room. It's a hard thing to give up control, but lucky for Paige her two bridesmaids knew her vision and brought it to life for her.
One of said bridesmaids came all the way from Australia to be here to stand beside her best friend. If that's not true friendship, I don't know what is.
Ryan's whole family and most of his friends also traveled all the way from Ontario for the wedding and hearing stories throughout the night you could tell Ryan grew up as a good ol' boy from a hockey town, like most places in Ontario, or Canada really.
One of my favorite parts about weddings are the speeches. Getting to know my clients on a more personal level, hear stories told about them from their closest loved ones. Often times you will find me behind my camera laughing, or sometimes even crying along with the crowd.
The whole night was really topped off when Paige insisted I try a bite of the cake off of her own fork.
Man, I really love it when my clients become friends and these two are both so easy to be around. Congratulations again you too! Your wedding day was beautiful and so is watching the love that you have for one another.
