Lisa + Scott's wedding was absolutely stunning. Every single detail was beautiful and reflected these two perfectly. We started the morning taking photos of these two getting ready at side by side houses. I had the beautiful Ashley Lazette Photography second shooting with me and she stayed with the guys while I hung out with the girls. Aside from a wardrobe malfunction (with the boys) the day went by without a hitch.
The ceremony was held at Confederation Park where we also did the Bridal Party photos afterward. During the ceremony Lisa and Scott had asked a close friend and her brother to each read an excerpt chosen by the couple. They then exchanged beautiful vows where they had written almost the exact same thing unknowingly. If that doesn't tell you how perfect these two are for one another I don't know what will.
After the ceremony while we took family photos in the shade of the trees to escape the hot glaring sun, the guests played lawn games. Yard-zee, giant jenga and bean bag tossing. We then went as a group to take the bridal party and individual photos. The park was such a beautiful setting for photos, so beautiful that we were sharing the park with three other brides (that we saw).
After photos were done we headed over to the Scandinavian Center for the reception. The guests were there waiting and the hall was decorated beautifully. Each table was named after a sci-fi or fantasy place straight out of stories and really added to the beautiful theme of a story-book wedding. The reception was so much fun, full of games and activities, a candy buffet and ice cream cake at the end of the night. The garter toss wasn't your conventional garter toss either; Scott began pulling things out from underneath Lisa's dress including a CD jewel box, a rubber penis, and a baseball bat until FINALLY he got the garter off.
It was so much fun and it's weddings like this that remind me why I love my job so much. Congratulations again you two! Here's to the rest of your lives with one another.
