Breigh + Dom booked me long in advance and a few months before their wedding date Breigh messaged me asking me if I would still do their photos even if plans changed a little bit. And obviously I said yes, because I adore this sweet couple and their little family and when she told me they felt like their wedding just wasn't representing them anymore and she started it all over from scratch, I was overjoyed. And what we were left with was the most beautiful, intimate,
perfect wedding day come June 9th.
They were married in a beautiful, tiny old church in Water Valley surrounded by their closest friends and family. Every detail was so personal and beautiful and I honestly can't imagine it turning out any different than it did.
As their little girl Aubree walked down the aisle holding her sign, Dom couldn't hold it in anymore and the tears started streaming down his face - I think the magnitude of this day was finally hitting him, and as soon as Breigh walked through the doors, her arm in her fathers, Dom lost is completely. I'm pretty sure their wasn't a dry eye in the church, including myself who was basically sobbing behind my camera.
I always feel a little silly at first when I start to cry at weddings; since usually I have only met my clients a handful of times before this day, but there is something so intensely beautiful about being the one cast with the responsibility to capture each one of these moments that they will cherish forever.
As I drove out to Water Valley in the morning the sky grew darker and darker, but then somehow right before the ceremony started, the sun broke it's way through the clouds. We avoided rain almost the entire day, until during their individual shoot it starts slowly drizzling on us. But snuggled into the trees, we were hardly phased. And if anything it made the entire experience more romantic. You know that feeling when a storm rolls in and the rain starts to fall and the world falls silent? That's how it felt as we walked through the moss covered ground, huge evergreens surrounding us.
They had a small dinner to follow with their immediate family, closest friends and bridal party at a restaurant and it couldn't have been more perfect for these two. Thank you again you two beautiful human's for trusting me to freeze these moments in time for you. I am so thankful to have been a part of your fairy tale.
