Jenn + Tony are junior high sweet hearts, as if high school sweethearts wasn't sweet enough. Their wedding was a mashup of both of their cultures and they were surrounded by all of their people. Literally, ALL of their people. Their wedding was massive, yet somehow still had such an intimate feeling to it.
We started the morning off with the Chinese Tea Ceremony at Jenn's parents house. Tony showed up carrying a roast pig and bribes for the family to let him in to the house. It was so much fun seeing the door games and the tests her friends and family put him through to show that he was worthy enough. It sounds intense but it was so easy going and fun. It's so cool seeing these old traditions followed but now with a modern day twist to them. For example, Jenn's bridesmaids made Tony and each of his groomsmen wax a strip of hair from their legs. Hah!
After the tea ceremony and taking a few photos in the traditional wear we headed to the church for the Christian ceremony. Jen changed into her white wedding gown and they said their "I do's" in a church surrounded by friends and family.
We did their photos at a couple different spots downtown. Starting at Scottsman's Hill with that iconic view of downtown then heading Pierce Estates Park looking for shade on this crazy sunny and hot day. After we said goodbye to the wedding party we took a few more solo shots of Jenn and Tony at the Alt Hotel in East Village before meeting everyone at the reception hall.
The night was spent eating, laughing, dancing and playing different games. I've never seen two people so in sync with one another as these two, which makes sense I guess if you've been together since you were 13... Congratulations again J+T!
