I strive to create a comfortable environment for all of my clients. Whether they are 3 or 93 - my goal is to make you laugh; to allow you to be with one another as you are. To capture you in your own unique life and freeze those moments in time.
I love love. From the moment it is even thought up for the first time to the not so pretty times when you have to fight and hold on for dear life. As primarily a wedding photographer I witness one of the happiest days of your life. My goal is to capture that pure, excited, deep love to sustain you through the not so easy moments.
And there will be many of those moments. From fights with your partner, to the loss of a parent or grandparent - life will ebb and flow, but these photos will remain.
I create meaningful, personal relationships with each of my clients; a familiarity and friendship that will make taking your photos a breeze. "Photography was my #1 priority when booking vendors for our wedding. These memories will last forever, so I wanted it right. I grilled many photographers and searched many galleries until I found Fiddle and Drum. Shelby had no issue answering my 500,000 questions, met with us for coffee for more questions, and worked with our budget.
Shelby made us both super comfortable! She embraced our awkwardness to make us laugh, and took all our funny faces in stride. She had no problem posing our two large dogs for us, and they clearly loved the photo shoot too.
Our pictures are amazing. I normally hate myself in photos, and Shelby has me fan-girling over my own photos. She got all the right lighting, candid like I asked, but some posed that don’t look fake. Shelby managed both our huge families with ease. I was feeling nervous about making a “shot list” as many brides suggested, so I made a really basic one and sent it to her. I didn’t need it. She clearly knows how to work with large families, uncooperative babies, and an awkward couple. I cannot thank Shelby enough for her work. I didn’t think I could ever love photos so much, and she has changed my mind. We will absolutely be using Shelby in the future for family pictures! We’ve already had many of our recently engaged friends ask for her info to use her as well.
